Rituals of Bon I&II
Phurpa is an extraordinary artistic and cultural project, not only on a European scale. For years, its members have been exploring the traditions of Bön – the magical practices of ancient Tibet, Iran and even Egypt, and they take it closer to their listeners.
The cassette, as one can see by the title, contains both parts of the material published on vinyl.
It is more than 80 minutes of shamanic trance based on the “rgyud-skad” singing and traditional instruments often made of human bones, introducing listeners to a transgressive journey into ancient cultures where people worship the ancient gods and demons of the pre-Buddhist era.
The tape is strictly limited to 50 copies.
